About Jim Benson

Called "an architect of transformation" by his peers, Jim Benson has dedicated his life to the awakening of himself and others. He brings a deep toolkit to his work with both men and women: energy healer in private practice; contact improvisation dancer and teacher; facilitator for emotional release work; and over 20 years on a path dedicated to personal growth.

Jim has participated in and facilitated men’s groups for the last 14 years, including the most established David Deida-based men’s group in the Bay area. His Awakened Masculine groups, started in 2003, have helped hundreds of men make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

Jim has been coaching men and women in one-on-one sessions since 1998. He received his training as a professional coach from the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA.

A practitioner of conscious sexuality since 1991, Jim has led Skydancing Tantra workshops internationally with Margot Anand. While co-creating original workshops with Margot — as well as leading her Love and Ecstasy Trainings — he uncovered his gift of coaching couples to transform their love lives.

Jim has co-authored two books (on graphic design) and is a former world champion professional athlete (frisbee freestyle).
