About Jim Benson

Called "an architect of transformation" by his peers, Jim Benson has dedicated his life to helping others reach their full potential.

 

Jim has been coaching since 1998, and has over 1500 hours of individual, relationship and group coaching experience. He received his training as a professional coach from the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA, and holds the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential from the International Coach Federation. Jim is also a member of the PCMA (Professional Coaches, Mentors, and Advisors).

He has led workshops in communication, relationship, sexuality and intimacy in the US and abroad, both on his own and with Margot Anand (author of The Art of Sexual Ecstacy).

Jim has participated in and facilitated men’s groups for the last 19 years, including the most established David Deida-based men’s group in the Bay area. His Awakened Masculine groups, started in 2003, have helped hundreds of men make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

Business coaching clients will appreciate that Jim was a successful business owner for nearly two decades. He can empathize with all business issues, including hiring and directing employees and contractors, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and prospecting and closing new business accounts.

Jim has co-authored two books (on graphic design) and is a former world champion professional athlete (frisbee freestyle).
